Marta Beltrán in her studio
Marta Beltrán explores the ideas of drawing from the smallest to the most monumental composition. The main motivation is the representation of the female figure as an expression of unconscious and emotional content. She has recently had the following solo exhibitions, the individual projects El juego de la libertad: furor, Daniel Vázquez Díaz Scholarship, Huelva (2019); Ojos de un extraño, Gregorio Prieto Drawing Prize, Valdepeñas (2019); and La vendedora de fósforos, DKV-MAKMA Drawing Prize, MUVIM Valencia (2018). She took part in group exhibitions with the Birimbao Gallery in Seville, Puxagallery in Madrid (2019) and ATC in Tenerife (2020), at the Mars Art Fairs in Castellón; JustMAD (2018), and Estampa (2019). In 2016 she receives a Production Grant from the UGR, Granada, with which she produced her exhibition La Ceremonia at the Hospital Real de Granada, curated by Susana Blas. Among the artistic residencies she has enjoyed, it is worth mentioning the one carried out in the C3A in Córdoba (2019), La Puebla de Cazalla, Department of Culture and Occupational Center, Seville (2016), and in La Térmica, Málaga (2015).
